Project Detail
The Carpark Lighting Upgrade project commenced in June, 2016. It saw the existing entrance lowbay lights and T8 fluorescent lighting replaced with Prolume’s lowbay lights and Australian made and patented carpark batten lights with sensors. These lights sit directly over the existing footprints and require minimal drilling during the installation. The Prolume installation did not require any remedial paintwork or extending of conduits. All work on site performed by Wirewerx.
Products Used
The carparks pre-existing T8 fluorescent lights drew around 47 watts per light. They were replaced with Prolumes’ ultra-efficient Australian made carpark batten lights which draw 22 watts in full mode. Integrated sensors drop the power levels to 6 watts when no movement is detected.
Results
Prior to works, the Carparks total annual lighting costs were $36,732 including maintenance. After Prolumes’ works, energy costs were reduced to approximately $5,641, a saving of $31,093.
- $310,930 savings over 10 years
- 941,780 kWh of energy savings over 10 years
