Prolume awarded patents for Australian-made batten lights
Prolume’s research and development has led to a number of innovative products in the LED lighting market. Prolume has recently been awarded patents to protect these unique Australian-made products.
Our innovative batten lights are patented for their advanced LED electrical design and quick fit installation method. The batten lights are by far the quickest to install in the market due to the two part, plug-in technology. The light is composed of two parts the base and the technology visor:
- The base, which is attached to the ceiling or wall, has the 240 volt connections from the building made in the generous sized connectors. The base contains a fixed plug base for connecting the technology visor. The base will sit over the footprint of existing lights and requires no painting to cover existing footprints or additional conduit work to make it fit. The base is also perfectly set up to accept Pyro cables and terminate them legally. The base is easily drilled on any surface to accommodate larger conduit (plastic or metal).
- The technology visor contains all the electronic components for your light. Once the base is installed it’s simply a matter of plugging the visor in to the base, sliding on to the base and securing with the screw provided.
It’s that simple.
The lights come in 600, 900, 1200 and 1500mm lengths. Power and lumen output can be varied with a simple change of a resistor. This means if you need more light, or you want to reduce energy consumption, this can be achieved with a simple 1 minute job.
